The Schumpeter column of The Economist describes how companies like Capital One lack a culture of safety when it comes to their data. Similar to Exxon before its tragic 1989 oil spill. There are lessons to be learned from how Exxon was able to completely turn around its approach to safety. Double-hulled firewalls anyone?
